While staying in the mountain region of Sidemen (on the island of Bali in Indonesia), we heard there was a festival in the nearby town of Semarapura one evening, so we took a trip out. By the end of the evening we still weren’t sure what the celebration was, but like many Indonesian festivals, families were out in force, there were beautiful, intricate flower and reed decorations in the streets, there was music, and lots of food!
